Welcome to Centre County Public Safety Training Center

Police, Firefighter, Emergency and Hazmat Training

Welcome to the Centre County Public Safety Training Center (CCPSTC) website! Our fully interactive and secure website allows first responders to schedule training classes, post events, and communicate with other departments and agencies within central Pennsylvania. The CCPSTC’s state-of-the-art training facility is located on 391 North Harrison Road in Spring Township, PA – adjacent to the Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology (CPI) campus. This facility is the result of a regional effort to provide training to police forces, firefighters, emergency services, and hazardous materials workers from across the state. The CCPSTC also can provide up to date training on the latest OSHA standards to industry and businesses in the region.

The Center allows fire departments to take advantage of on-site apparatus certification; thereby saving volunteers’ time and fire companies’ money. With the recent completion of the Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) module, the CCPSTC can now host on-site driving and vehicle training for public safety organizations – such as police departments, emergency service agencies, and others. Business and industry are also invited to utilize the Center for their specialized safety and OSHA training requirements. To help prepare the future generation of emergency services personnel, students from CPI’s Emergency Services Program also actively participate in educational programs housed at the CCPSTC.  We ccontinually add props and expand our capabilities to meet the needs of our customers.

We invite you to join us in support of public safety training in central Pennsylvania! Through partnering and the combined resources of government, education, and industry – Centre County’s Public Safety Training Facility can serve as a model for one-stop emergency personnel training; thereby training and protecting those who protect our loved ones.
