Advanced Engine Company Operations
NEW CLASS
Advanced Engine Company Operations
This 20-hour program is designed to build upon the fundamentals of the prerequisite Engine Company Operations Course. This program is a labor of love, through techniques that have been lost due to the common mindset of “just pull the preconnect” or “we don’t have the manpower”.
Advanced Engine Company Operations a light mix of theory with a lot of hands on work. This course will look at the pit falls of engine company operation failures such as: placement of apparatus, incorrect line selection due to poor size up, and relying on single techniques. Upon the completion of this program you will have a better understanding of unconventional line deployment and thinking outside of the box for safe and successful extinguishment of the “Job”.
Engine Company Operations is a prerequisite for this class. Proof of taking the Engine Company Operations class must be shown the first day of class.
PPE required: TOG, Safety glasses, SCBA, and extra gloves (work gloves)
